Jane Knittle spent 27 years in the Fashion industry manufacturing ladies, children and menswear for Saks Fifth Avenue, Henri Bendel, Bergdorf Goodman, Talbots, Federated Department Stores, The Limited and most other well known retail and catalog operations. Her product development responsibilities enabled her toTravel extensively in Europe and Asia to source for fabrics, trims and factories. A Pets World was started in 1997 when Lilly, a little Maltese came into her life and changed it dramatically. At the time, there were hardly any Fashionable pet Carriers in the market and none that were offered in fabrics that change with each season the way ladies handbags do. That was the beginning of A Pets World. Totes were soon followed by Airline carriers and then hand-sewn embellished nylon collars and leashes, something that didnt exist in the market at all. Hair accessories to match were a natural addition to the growing collection. In 2002 Jane left the apparel industry to devote all her time to A Pets World and to further develop the collection with fashionable and colorful Raffia and Straw pet totes, coats, sweaters and dog toys.
