I was one of those kids whose best friend was her cat. My cat, Licorice, comforted and soothed me and was a true soul mate until he went back to God. This deep karmic link started early and has continued throughout my life. I now live in NW Indiana with my husband, 5 cats, and our dog, Rosa. Many years ago when I was a struggling waitress/student I dreamt of running my own business and making the best cat toys possible. I even took a class designed to help women start their own business. I wrote out a business plan and thought hard about how to pull it off. But money and time were tight and the internet did not yet exist, so I kept waiting tables and finished my degree. A few years ago, after another rave run on Christmas cat toys for my friends and family, I decided to just wiggle my toe in the business pool. This level of engagement went really well and now we have jumped in with both feet! Purrfectplay is run simply. We are dedicated to producing wonderful pet products crafted exclusively from organic, chemical free, and fair-trade materials. We are members of Co-op America and the Organic Trade Association.
