Best Pet Ramp.com was first opened in 2004 after I discovered that my dog Nathan (Nate) had problems with this hips which caused him discomfort when trying to jump or even get up on my bed. Nate is a 70lb boxer and I needed a way to help him get on the bed when I was not around to help him. It was not that he could not do it, but it was obvious that he was in pain when he would try in get in bed or into the car and I was really worried that if something was not done it problem would get much worse. Being a heavy dog I knew I would have to design something heavy duty and not something with legs that would work loose and break or tip while he was using it and cause him to fall. My first couple of designs were much simpler than what you see today and much testing has gone into different models and prototypes to get what you see now. After Nate had been using his ramps for awhile I thought their might be a demand for the type of ramps which I made which were stained, finished and carpeted.
