Joan Bolduc is Art Itself. With a BFA in Painting from Aquinas College and an MFA in Printmaking from Cranbrook Academy of Art, who would have guessed that she would be working in ceramics? Surely, her fine art background honed her sense of design, color and context. Maybe her stint in the Peace Corps developed her love for well designed functional objects. No doubt her dogs are a major influence on her work. Now Joan finds herself in a basement studio in Denver making beautiful pet dishes that are collected and enjoyed worldwide.
